Bollywood plots are often exaggerated. They often use, such as star lovers and angry parents, love triangles, family ties, sacrifice, corrupt politicians, kidnappers formulaic composition, conniving and gold, long lost relatives and siblings separated by fate, dramatic reversals of bad hearts, prostitutes wealth, and convenient coincidences.
There has always been the artistic goals with more and more complex story of Indian film, inside and outside the Bollywood tradition (see the parallel cinema.)
